Methods of Preperation

Divyamrut Gir Cow ghee is hand-churned and prepared with Pure Vedic Method in a happy environment.
In the non-Vedic method, milk is boiled until a layer of cream appears on the top of it. This cream is then boiled and made into ghee. In this method toned milk (low fat milk) is left behind which is used commercially for higher profits. When ghee is prepared with this method, nutritional component gets largely compromised.
Another method is the pious Vedic method, which is an elobarate method. It is called the Bilona or Valona method. Cow’s milk is boiled and cooled. Then a spoonful of curd is added to this milk and kept at room temperature overnight to be curdled. The curd is then hand-churned into buttermilk with a wooden device made with a specific types of wood by clockwise and counterclockwise rotations (valona). The butter that floats on the pot is collected into a thick bottomed vessel. It is then boiled on low flame and the water gets evaporated, leaving aromatic ghee behind. This method retains all the essential properties of cow milk and brings its nutrients in the ghee.
The quantity of ghee procured by this method is a little lower than the non-Vedic method and also doesn’t yield any extra profits achieved by selling low-fat milk.
So if you feel you are comparatively paying higher for the ghee prepared by traditional Vedic method, know it for sure that the quality is not compromised at all to bring you optimum benefits!
